N8DNX and the Stutsmanville Repeater Complex
Welcome to the home of N8DNX and the Stutsmanville Repeater Complex near Northern Lake Michigan just north of Harbor Springs. Within these pages you'll find some information about me, but more importantly about Ham Radio in Michigan's vacation playland just SouthWest of the Mackinac Bridge.

Have you seen this car?
If you've seen this car, then you have some idea of my passion for Amateur Radio. Since this picture was taken, I've added another antenna to the rack on the passenger's side. This may look silly to you if you're not familiar with Ham Radio, but so do the silly "base kicker" stickers and college football flags on your car. I won't judge you if you don't judge me. Also, if there's a disaster, you'll be really happy to see a few cars like mine helping with communications. (See the CCECPSCO Web site for more information.)
Four O'Clock
The good ship Four O'Clock is our part-time summer home. Her name comes from history on both sides of the family. When I was growing up, we had a wall clock in the kitchen that, nearly as early as I can remember, didn't work. It was left reading 4:00. Whenever anyone asked what time it was, it was always Four O'Clock. On my wife's side of the famly, happy hour started early -- need I say more.

Four O'Clock is for sale!
My wife and I are considering downsizing to a smaller trawler. Since the kids are now grown and are no longer being forced to cruise with us, we only need two staterooms. It would also be good to have a bit more space in those staterooms and a boat that's a bit easier to get into some of the marinas. She's in good shape, has only been stored in inside heated facilities, only been run in fresh water, and has been well cared for. Let me know if you're interested.

70' Slip in Charlevoix MI For Sale
Since we're considering selling the good ship Four O'Clock, we may not need the slip we have at Northwest Marine Yacht Club on Lake Charlevoix. It's a great place, but we don't use the pool that much anymore. The marina is on the West shore of Lake Charlevoix just South of the Pine River entrance to Round Lake and downtown. Call 231-487-0692 if you're interested or see http://www.nwmyc.com.
